This is very confusing. I'm obviously not speaking for myself. cuz in my opinion if i was in a situation where it would seem sensible to defend myself.. i probably would. But i dont think that is right. LIke what terry said, if it weren't for our sinful nature we would not have to kill and etc. But lets say that someone is trying to kill me and what do i do? in that case either way.. someone is going to die. But is it right to just be killed when i did nothing wrong?
ill just let that question hang because i actually dont know it my self :]

I agree with you Lillian.. I would most likely defend myself. but is it right or wrong? God is going to have to help us on that one..
yep so do i! in that situation our natural instinct is do fight! but im not sure if you could say its right or wrong...god will have to help us on this.
I think that in a fallen, sinful world, killing is sometimes right, and even essential. Lillian, in your example, I think we are called to protect our friends and family, but to say that we wouldn't defend ourselves is like the "Fantasy VS Reality" thing we talked about in Worldview Class. I know I would defend myself! But I've heard stories of missionaries who don't defend themselves when they get killed, so I think not defending ourselves in that situation would be right, but I don't know if I could ever actually do that.
