This unsolved mystery has always fastinated me, I have heard many different explanations and the two I think the most probable are these: 1 that the "indians" killed all the colonists and hid the bodys (as they had been known to do before). 2 that the colonists moved to the island of Croatoan and intermixed with the indians. The later is my most favored because some of the later stettlers gave reports of light haired, blue eyed, english speaking indians.

I also believe the second possibility is most likely what happened. In my older brother's History textbook, it talks about blue eyed, Welsh speaking Indians.

i think that the second one is right. it makes more sense although it could be the other one.
I also think the seconf one is more accurate. It sound more real i guess you can say in a way.
